- heavy and spicy food.
- Smoking,

- Caffeine

- cold milk or ice-cream gives instant relief
- chewing cloves
- raw carrot or drinking carrot juice
- chewing a few Holy Basil or mint leaves or sipping on fresh hot mint tea
- drinking tender coconut water
