The fact is our mouth is a natural cesspool of thriving bacterial colonies and its fact that they will attack you gums. Every morning when you brush your teeth you might or might not notice a few drops of bleeding in your saliva. But this is completely normal.

The problem arises when you wake up in the morning with a small pool of blood in your mouth. This condition is a progression of gingivitis into a severer condition called as periodontitis.

So what can you do to keep you mouth safe from these bacteria?·

One thing which is absolutely essential is regular biannual visits to the dentist for a cleaning and polishing of your teeth. Its not painful and it really clears way lingering gunk which is providing food for the bacterial colonies in the mouth.·

After brushing your mouth you can swish your tongue and mouth in a tea tree oil mouth wash which is mildly antiseptic and prevents the growth of the bacterial growth in your mouth overnight.·

You can also use a tea bag as a poultice to control the bleeding from your gums.
